Kristen is a passionate Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) whose main area of focus is helping children to work on their speech, language, and social communication skills.

 

Kristen completed a Bachelor’s of Education at Mount Royal University in 2016 and worked with children of all ages as a teacher following graduation. Kristen then pursued her master’s in speech-language pathology from McGill University and took an extra year to complete a thesis project on treating children with Childhood Apraxia of Speech (CAS) over teletherapy.

 

Kristen believes that fostering motivation is key to helping children succeed and works to understand and bring a child’s interests into evidence-based assessment and treatment sessions. Kristen is committed to further developing her skills as an SLP through professional development opportunities.
