Jen is a Speech-Language Pathologist who is a strong believer in the power of parent coaching and play-based intervention to help children learn and grow. She strives to make sessions fun and engaging for the child, while also being functional and easy to fit into everyday life for the family. Watching children’s communication skills develop, and their parents’ realization that they helped make it happen, is Jen’s favourite part of her work.

Jen completed a Bachelor of Science in Psychology at the University of Calgary, and her Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology at the University of British Columbia. She has been working with preschool and young school-aged children and their families since she graduated in 2013. Jen works with children with a variety of speech and language goals. Her strengths include supporting children who are just beginning to communicate, as well as those who are on the autism spectrum. She loves to read, learn, and share her enthusiasm for early child development with others.

Jen lives just outside of Calgary and spends her free time hiking, backpacking, and skiing in the mountains with her husband and two young children.
