Speech Therapy Pricing in Calgary

At True North SLP, we believe every family deserves clear information about the cost of speech therapy and language services. Our pricing reflects the expertise of certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) who provide personalized, evidence-based support for children across Calgary.

We offer therapy in homes, schools, and the community — so families can access high-quality care in the setting that works best for them.
Private Speech Therapy Rates
Our therapy services are billed by the hour and include direct therapy, parent consultation, and preparation time. Speech therapy services are provided at a cost of $150 per hour for therapy services.
Sessions can be scheduled for 30, 45, or 60 minutes, depending on your child’s needs.
Invoices are provided at the end of the month and there is the option to pay via e-transfer or with a credit card. Receipts are provided for families to submit to their insurance provider for reimbursement.
Mileage
A mileage fee of $0.72 per km is added to all therapy sessions where the clinician is travelling to the clients home or to meet them in the community.
Payment Process
Invoices are provided at the end of the month and you have the option to pay via e-transfer or with a credit card.
Insurance Information
True North does not direct bill any insurance company. Once your invoice is paid you can submit the receipt to your insurance provider for reimbursement.
Every insurance plan is different, so it is the parent's responsibility to understand their plan.

Q1: Are assessments required before starting therapy?

A: No formal assessment is required to start therapy. During the first session, the SLP screens the child's skills, makes observations and gathers information from parents, teachers and caregivers to ensure therapy goals are specific and effective.
Q2: Do you offer shorter sessions for preschoolers?

A: Yes. We often recommend 30-minute sessions for younger children to keep therapy fun and engaging.
Q3: Is speech therapy covered by insurance?

A: Many private insurance plans or employer benefits cover part or all of speech therapy costs. Check your plan’s details regarding speech-language pathology services.
Q4: Do you direct bill insurance providers?

A: At this time, we provide detailed receipts so families can submit for reimbursement.
