Speech-Language Pathologist
She / Her / Hers

Based in Calgary
As a registered Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for 15 years, I believe that one’s own
curiosity and others’ encouragement should drive learning, and joy should result, fueling
the desire to continually keep learning! Supporting children should not simply be one-
sided learning on their part, but those of us supporting them should continue to be
learning how we can best support them.

I became interested in the development of speech and language while completing a
Bachelor’s of Arts in Linguistics at the University of Calgary. I graduated with a Master’s
of Science in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Alberta in 2010.

I aim to support students in their journey of communication development through
personalized therapy, rapport-building, problem-solving, and collaboration between
families, therapists, and the educational team. Before beginning to provide private SLP
services, I worked as a speech-language pathologist in school, child care, and clinic
settings with children and teenagers aged 1 through 17 years old. Their varying diagnoses
included Autism Spectrum Disorder, Down Syndrome, Dyslexia, vision loss, cognitive
delays, speech delays, and language delays. I especially enjoy supporting children and
teenagers in the areas of literacy/preliteracy, language skills, and speech sounds. I have
completed additional training and workshops in the areas of literacy, brain development,
language skills, social communication, and speech sound intervention.

In my free time, I enjoy singing, baking, hiking, travelling the world, and continuing to
learn new things.
