What We’re Looking For
We want dedicated SLPs who believe in high-quality, evidence-based, play-centred therapy and who enjoy working in a collaborative, family-focused team.
Key Responsibilities
-
Conduct in-home (and possibly community) formal and informal assessments and deliver individualized speech and language therapy.

Collaborate with families to set goals and track progress.

Use evidence-based methods, play and functional practice to support children’s speech and language development.

Maintain clinical documentation, progress charting, and communicate with caregivers and other professionals as needed.

Travel across Calgary for home visits; reliable vehicle & valid driver’s license required.

Desired Qualifications​

Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology.

Registration and in good standing with the Alberta College of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (ACSLPA).

Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Self-motivated, organized, with ability to manage caseload and work flexibly.

About Certification & Practice Standards

All therapists must be registered with ACSLPA; practice permits are required to work legally in Alberta.

A valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle for in-home services.

Professional liability insurance, up-to-date clinical skills, continuing education, and adherence to ethical practices are expected.

A: Yes. To work as an SLP in Alberta, you must be registered with ACSLPA and hold a valid practice permit. This is mandatory under Alberta’s Health Professions Act.
Q2: What clinical experience is required?

A: We value therapists with experience working with children in speech and/or language development, reading, or motor speech. Whether you’re newly graduated or have years of experience, what matters is your commitment to growth, clinical evidence-based practice, and collaboration.
Q3: Is there travel required?

A: Yes. Many sessions are delivered in-home across Calgary. Reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license, and flexibility in schedule are required.
Q4: What does “flexible schedule” mean?

A: You’ll be able to set your own hours, choose how many clients you carry, whether you prefer more home visits, community, or a mix. We work together to balance workload and personal priorities.
